The way I see it, you have two options when buying bikes or having services/repairs done in the Cambridge area. 1) You pay a lot of money for a less than personal service at one of the larger bike shops in the middle of Cambridge. 2) You get great value for money and deal with a most personable and friendly individual in the form of Chris Lloyd at Chris' Bikes, Girton. All my past services and repairs have been excellent a recent purchase of a Dawes Giro 200 was both exactly what I was looking for and at a great price. The Fahhrad T300 which I bought from you last October after advice from you has proved to be an excellent buy. I remember saying I wanted a bike that was built to last; could get me to work reliably and that I could take ?off road? and ride for leisure. This bike has fulfilled all those criteria; the gear changing is very smooth and the hydraulic brakes very responsive. I think it must be some fifteen years or so since we first serviced our bikes and the fact we keep returning is a recommendation of the friendly, informative and excellent service that you provide. Just a few words to say What a DEAL. I would certainly HIGHLYRECOMMEND Chris Bikes to all my friends and family and any one surfingthe net, as the deal I had for the latest Giant TCR 1 Advance 2009 wasjust mind blowing unreal. It was so competitive I couldn't say no. TheBike was exactly what I ordered and arrived as Chris Bikes said itwould with phones in between shipment and delivery keeping me postedall the way. I will certainly be buying my next bike here as mydaughter's bike is also due for replacment.

Good morning Chris, Just a quick email to say it was a pleasure meeting you on Saturday and thanks for your superb service. Your shop is a fantastix mix of new and old and your enthusiasm for what you do is obvious. My mother's bike is exactly what we wanted and at a price that I certainly wanted !!! Claire rode her new bike yesterday and she is absolutely delighted with it, it's light and responsive and I no longer have the advantage I used to. We bought a second hand Raleigh bike from you this morning.Thank you very much for your help and service.
Our daughter got on the bike this afternoon and she was off!No need for the stabilizers.She is still a little short to be able to support herself properly when stopping but she is very happy and so are we. We had a job getting her back into the house as she is enjoy riding so much.

Heres a message to all you bike enthusiasts, of all ages, from novices to the fanatics of all types of bikes Go and buy a bike from Chris. I saved hundreds of pounds on a fantastic deal on a Giant CRS Alliance. I was able to kit myself and the bike out with everything I needed and still came in under any price I could find anywhere on the net. That saving included a 500 mile round trip.More than all of the money factors, just visit the shop and Chris for a service from a bygone era, where customer service is so pleasant, laid back, and quite priceless. Wanted to say thank you for the excellent service I have so far recieved, I have had nothing but polite, kind and honest information, the SCR2 I bought from you in August has been just what it said on the tin. The issue with the seatpost was just a matter of greasing and the creak is gone. Its lovely to find such a supberb shop in this day and age, I will and have been reccommending you to all who ask about the bike. If you are up in Wales and I can give you any advice about the mountains or rivers just mail.

" A week before I was due to set off to pedal from lands End to John O'Groats, I decided that my ageing dawes Discovery, lovely bike, ideal for such a trip, was a bit too long in the tooth to be reliable for 1000 miles, so I decided to go for a good quality road bike.After visiting a local bike shop who wouldn't give me the smallest discount on a Giant SCR1, I trawled the internet and discovered Chris's Bikes.After a long informative telephone conversation, not with an inexperienced junior member of staff, but with Chris himself, I ordered my bike with the best discount to be found on the net.I happened to be going to Cambridge so I collected my bike,not flat packed, but set up and ready to ride, not from a great trading internet warehouse, but from a good old fashioned, in best biking tradition, Aladins cave of a bike shop,"Chris's Bikes". Oh- and the 1000miles? Went like a dream, and the bike went like a train. We raised over £10,000 for research into a cure for Parkinsons disease. If you are a PD sufferer, like me and my two pedalling friends, or like most people, you know someone with PD, why not join us next year as we once again go end to end to end Parkinson's disease.Or, if you can't do the whole thing, join us for a day.
